Vacancy - General Practice Nurse
The Practice is a 6 GP practice based over 2 sites. We are looking for a part time (20 hours per week) Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. Experience of working in a GP surgery would be desirable.
Job Summary
To assist medical personnel in the care of practice patients to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education
Areas of work to be covered:
Chronic Disease Management including Asthma, Diabetes and COPD
Childhood & Holiday Immunisations
Cervical Cytology
Contraceptive advice
Pathological Specimens and investigatory procedures
Job responsibilities
- Provide assessment, screening and treatment services and health education advice
- Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team
- Provide nursing treatments to patients in participation with general practitioners or independently to agreed protocols
- Provide general and specific health screenings to the practice patients (with agreed protocols) with referral to general practitioners as necessary
Pay dependent on experience and clinical grade. Training will be given if required.
Must be fully registered nurse
Must be flexible with hours and willing to cover holidays and sickness when required.
Full Driving Licence
