We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Wrexham from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring educator who is passionate about English Language and Literature and committed to helping students develop strong communication, reading, and writing skills.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teach English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that inspires a love of reading and learning.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the success of the English department.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
- Support students in achieving their academic potential through engaging and creative teaching.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or eligibility to register.
