Southwick Landscape Services Ltd require an Arboricultural Team Lead to join its existing team based in Fareham.
You will be part of the growing team looking after the green spaces for Welborne Garden Village. Reporting to the operations manager you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of trees across the new development including street/park trees, substantial areas of new ecological plantations and Orchards alongside existing mature woodland. This is a hands on role and will include managing a small team.
Duties will include but not limited to,
· Watering
· Pruning
· Stake and tube maintenance
· Mulching
· Deer fence maintenance
· Mowing and strimming
· Ensuring guide wires remain tight.
· Liaising with principal designers and suppliers
· Working with arboriculture and forestry consultants
· Monitoring and controlling public access to woodland.
Person requirements
· Previous arboriculture/ woodland management experience
· Record keeping abilities.
· The ability to manage people including seasonal staff.
· Valid full UK drivers’ licence
· Chainsaw ticket
· PA1/PA6 an advantage although training can be given.
