Job Overview
Baby Clubhouse is a new baby sensory and play space for babies aged 0–18 months, and we’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our team.
For us, this role is much more about the person than previous experience. You don’t need to have worked as a sensory instructor before. If you’re confident, friendly, engaging and genuinely enjoy working with babies and their families, we can provide the training and support you need.
Initially, the position will be offered on a zero-hours contract, with the intention of building regular hours as our classes grow and capacity increases.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be trained and supported to:
- Lead fun, engaging baby sensory and themed sessions
- Welcome parents, carers and babies and help create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere
- Use music, movement, sensory equipment, lights, props and play activities during sessions
- Encourage parents and carers to take part
- Prepare and reset equipment before and after classes
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
- Work independently when required
- Help us develop new ideas and activities as Baby Clubhouse grows
The Person We’re Looking For
You don’t need to arrive knowing how to run a sensory class — we can teach you that.
What we’re really looking for is someone who is:
- Naturally warm and welcoming
- Confident speaking and engaging with groups
- Fun, enthusiastic and comfortable being a little silly with babies!
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Patient and caring
- Creative and willing to get involved
- Comfortable singing, using actions and leading activities
- Able to work independently and use their own initiative
- Keen to learn and develop with the business
Experience working with babies, children or families would be helpful, but is not essential for the right person.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Be reliable and able to work agreed sessions
- Complete the training provided by Baby Clubhouse
