Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Baby Room Leader & Deputy to oversee and support our nursery’s infant care programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies, ensuring high standards of childcare and organisation. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, implement early childhood education principles, and contribute positively to children's development. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the baby room team, ensuring high-quality care and educational activities are delivered in accordance with nursery policies.

- Support the Deputy in daily operations, including planning activities that promote early development milestones.
- Foster a warm, caring environment that encourages babies’ emotional security and socialisation.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and health information.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's wellbeing, progress, and daily routines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in organising staff rotas and resource management within the baby room.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with childcare best practices.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare setting, preferably in a nursery or early childhood education environment.
- Extensive experience working directly with children, especially infants or babies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous nursery experience is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties or attending external meetings. This role provides an enriching environment for those passionate about early childhood development and committed to delivering exceptional care to our youngest learners.
Pay: £28,500.00 per year
