CLS Contract Labour Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Arborist 360 Operator to work on rail de-vegetation projects across the UK.
The role will involve operating a 360 excavator to remove trees, vegetation and other growth around railway tracks and associated infrastructure. You will be working as part of an experienced rail de-vegetation team, with a strong focus on safety and working to railway standards.
Salary: £200 CIS per day + weekend rates
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator with a background in rail de-vegetation, forestry, demolition or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently on rail de-vegetation projects.
- Remove trees, vegetation and other obstructions around railway tracks.
- Use forestry attachments including flails and grabs.
- Carry out excavation and vegetation clearance in accordance with project requirements.
- Work safely around railway infrastructure and other site personnel.
- Complete daily checks and ensure machinery and attachments are maintained in a safe working condition.
- Follow all relevant health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Work flexibly, including weekends where required.
Requirements
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) – essential.
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating 360 excavators.
- Previous De-Veg / Forestry experience preferred.
- Demolition experience will also be considered.
- Experience using forestry attachments, including flail and grab – essential.
- NPORS with CSCS logo or CPCS.
- Valid Safety Critical Medical.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and travel to rail projects as required.
