Dental Hygienist / Therapist – Private Practice
Knutsford, Cheshire | Approx. 2 days per week | Days & hours flexible
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist to join our friendly, established private dental practice in Knutsford for approximately two days per week.
We are a small, close-knit team providing high-quality private dentistry, with a strong focus on comprehensive patient care, periodontal health, implant maintenance, cosmetic dentistry and long-term prevention.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become a genuine part of the clinical team — someone who takes pride in their work, builds great relationships with their patients and wants to continue developing as a clinician.
The Role
The position is predominantly dental hygiene, working with an established private patient base including:
- Routine hygiene and periodontal maintenance
- Implant maintenance
- Periodontal patients
- Cosmetic, restorative and orthodontic patients
- Long-term preventive care and patient education
However, we’d love the role to develop beyond a traditional hygiene list.
With full training, mentorship and support, there will be opportunities to develop your confidence and skills in areas such as:
- Digital intraoral scanning
- Clinical photography
- Dental radiography within your scope of practice
- Monitoring periodontal and implant patients
- Recognising and communicating clinical findings
- Working collaboratively with our dentists on patients’ wider treatment plans
You don’t need to be confident in all of these areas already. We’re much more interested in finding someone with the right mindset who wants to learn.
Who We’re Looking For
For us, great patient care is a team effort.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply see their role as completing a hygiene list, but who wants to understand the patient’s wider treatment journey and contribute to achieving the best possible outcome for them.
Someone who:
- Has excellent communication and patient rapport
- Takes pride in delivering a high standard of clinical care
- Is proactive and comfortable taking initiative
- Enjoys working collaboratively with dentists, nurses and the wider team
- Is interested in developing clinically
- Is receptive to training, mentoring and feedback
- Has a genuine interest in periodontal and implant care
- Wants to build long-term relationships with their patients
- Shares our values around quality, attention to detail and exceptional patient care
We don’t expect you to know everything from day one. Clinical skills can be developed — attitude, curiosity and a genuine desire to provide excellent care are what matter most to us.
What We Offer
- Competitive rates of pay, dependent on experience
- Approximately 2 days per week
- Flexibility around days and working hours
- Established private patient base
- Full clinical mentorship and ongoing support
- Opportunity to expand your clinical skills
- Dedicated full-time dental nurse support
- Modern, well-equipped private practice
- Digital scanning and clinical photography
- Small, friendly and supportive team
- Free on-site parking
- Uniforms provided and professionally dry-cleaned
- Supportive working environment where your input is genuinely valued
This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hygiene but is also looking for a practice where they can grow clinically, take ownership of their role and become an integral part of a small team.
If you’re passionate about providing excellent patient care and would like to work somewhere that will genuinely invest in your development, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please send us your CV along with a short introduction telling us a little about yourself, what you’re looking for in your next role and any areas you’d particularly like to develop clinically.
Pay: From £35.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Free parking
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
