Mechatronic Maintenance Technician – Plaswire
About the Role
Plaswire specialises in advance manufacture, recycling and recovery of polymer waste plastics and composite. We are scaling the UK–Ireland’s first industrial process for transforming end‑of‑life wind‑turbine blades and advanced composites into high‑performance RX Polymer™. As a Factory Operative, you will play a hands‑on role in a modern, safety‑led manufacturing environment, supporting daily production, materials handling, and quality control across our recycling and polymer‑processing lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot extrusion & granulation equipment
- Diagnose electrical & mechanical faults
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Support production uptime and quality targets
- Assist with machine installation & improvements
- Ensure H&S and quality compliance
Skills & Experience
- Experience in extrusion and/or granulation (plastics preferred)
- Strong skills in electrical & mechanical fault-finding
- Knowledge of systems, pneumatics & hydraulics
- Comfortable working with machinery, tools, and manual handling tasks
- Team player with good problem-solving skills
