Location: The Globe Inn, 56 High Street, Dumfries
Pay: From £13.45 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Flexible hours (Zero-hours contract)
About the role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Waiter/Waitress to join our team at The Globe Inn. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Providing attentive and professional table service
- Taking food and drink orders accurately
- Ensuring tables and service areas are clean and well-presented
- Working collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff
- Handling customer queries in a polite and efficient manner
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality role
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A warm, hospitable approach to customer service
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to use initiative and work proactively
- Willingness to learn and develop

- Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Pay will meet or exceed the applicable National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage, depending on age and experience (in line with April 2026 UK regulations)
