Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Cleaner/Housekeeper to support the smooth running of our nursery by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the setting. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
- Occasional Saturday working (once per month) for deep cleaning
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all nursery areas
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks including:
- Vacuuming, mopping, and dusting
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, including fixtures and surfaces
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
- Replenish consumables (e.g. soap, paper towels, toilet roll)
- Manage and complete laundry tasks as required
- Ensure cleaning supplies are used safely and stored correctly
- Take initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks without direct supervision

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
