SAAJ Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a respected client for a Catering Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join a busy and professional catering environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with catering or kitchen experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Duties
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Set up and maintain dining and service areas to a high standard.
- Ensure excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Organise, store, and manage ingredients and kitchen materials efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation and storage in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen team with general catering and kitchen duties.
- Work collaboratively to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skill and Requirement
- Previous experience in a fast-paced catering, hospitality, or kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
- Available to start immediately (preferred).
- Willingness to undergo a standard DBS check.
- Own transport is essential due to the location and limited public transport access.
- Successful candidates will be subject to alcohol and drug testing in line with client requirements.

Benefits:
Pay: £12.71-£13.25 per hour
