Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to oversee the general upkeep of our premises, Working 25hours a week with days consisting of 7.30am - 10.30am and 4pm - 6pm. The ideal candidate will ensure that the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors and staff. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities through diligent care and attention to detail. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Duties
- Cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, play areas, offices, and common areas.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and changing areas.
- Manage waste disposal efficiently, ensuring recycling protocols are followed
- Following infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment
- Supporting a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for children, staff, and visitors
Skills
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Awareness of infection prevention and control procedures.
