Production Operative
We are seeking dedicated Production Operative’s to join our client on the outskirts of Chard. As a Production Operative you will play a crucial role in the cheese making process, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Warm & Humid department so ability to work in this environment is essential. Own transport required due to location.
Temp – Perm position
£13.90 Per hour, £20.85 Overtime rate
Progression Opportunities with Multi Skilled rate being £15.60
Shift Times (flexibility required)
Typical shift times: (hours may vary)
07.00 - 16.30 // 09.30 - 19.00
Around 3-5 shifts per week with more hours available at peak times.
Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment
· Turning blocks of Cheese (20kg)
· Working in a hot/wet environment
· Draining the cheese
· Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
· Loading and Unloading of dairy products from the production line
· Moving clean trays onto conveyer belt
· Sending the trays of cheese on the demoulding conveyor
· Pulling out stacks from the line with a trolley
Skills:
· Physically able to comfortably lift up to 20KG for long periods of time
· Attention to detail
· Experience working in a factory setting is a plus
