Operations / Office Administrator
Location: Cranswick Froch Foods / Leeds
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday - 40 Hours per Week
About the Role
The Operations Administrator role is to provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the Froch Foods site (a fast-paced food manufacturing environment / part of the Cranswick Group). As the sole administrator, you will be responsible for managing all office functions, coordinating communication, supporting production and site operation teams, and maintaining accurate records and systems in line with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
Job Context
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will act as a central point of coordination for site communications and administrative functions. The role will support purchasing, planning, payroll, facilities, and site security functions within the business. This will be a varied role and you will be working closely with senior leaders in the business.
You will be expected to demonstrate sound communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
General Office & Administrative Management
- Manage all day-to-day office administration activities
- Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems
- Handle incoming calls, emails and correspondence
- Act as the main administrative point of contact for the site
- Order and manage office supplies and consumables
Production & Operations Support
- Provide administrative support to site management teams
- Support the planning lead
- Assist with stock control processes, including raw materials and packaging records
- Raise purchase orders and support procurement administration
Food Safety, Quality and Compliance
- Support with traceability records
Payroll Administration Support
- Maintain employee records, absence tracking, and timesheets
- Support facial recognition and site access activation for employees
- Liaise with HR / Payroll centrally where required
Communication and Coordination
- Support site meetings (scheduling / Agendas / minutes)
- Help cascade key information across the site – business updates / strategy / values
- Independently manage competing priorities across all administrative functions
- Work autonomously with a wide range of stakeholders
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous administrative experience within a business support function
- Possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Have ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Be willing to support different functions when required
- Ideally have worked within a food manufacturing office environment
- Be able to handle confidentiality / sensitive business information with discretion
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate in Business Administration or similar field of study or proven time served experience (3 Years+)
- Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / Outlook) or proven experience
- Level 2 H&S or awareness
