About Us
Quorum Consultancy is an award nominated grassroot company designed to provide high level Governance, Risk, Compliance, IT Governance, and Finance advisory. Operating with zero upfront capital, we utilise a sweat equity model where senior partners invest expertise alongside their current professional roles. Quorum is built to be regulatory ready, with a clear roadmap to transition from a consultancy to an SRA regulated legal services entity once revenue milestones are met.
We are incredibly proud to be a regional finalist for the Best Startup Business in the Midlands region within the Professional Services category. As part of our commitment to building an inclusive and accessible working environment, we are also a registered Disability Confident employer.
As we prepare for our upcoming launch, we are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Corporate Lawyer to join us as a key strategic partner.

- Corporate and Insolvency Advisory: Advising on capital, restructuring, and insolvency frameworks.

The Core Requirement
To support our lean operational structure and client facing offerings, the successful partner must be a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales holding an active SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) practising certificate.
In the initial phase of our launch, you must be willing and legally eligible to deliver professional legal advice, compliance, and client facing reserved legal services under your own SRA freelance practising framework, acting as our regulatory partner as we establish our broader corporate frameworks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Facing Legal Delivery: Provide expert legal advice, contract drafting, and transaction support directly to Quorum’s corporate and SME clients under your professional regulatory umbrella.
- Reserved Legal Instruments: Prepare and execute reserved legal instruments including transfers, charges, and security documents.

- Mandatory: Must be a fully qualified Solicitor of England and Wales with an active SRA practising certificate.
- Expertise in Corporate Law: A strong understanding of UK company law, corporate transactions, M&A, and commercial contracts.
- Strategic Thinker: Proven experience advising on business restructurings, shareholder agreements, and corporate governance.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate remotely with senior stakeholders and corporate clients.
- Detail Oriented: Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on precision, compliance, and legal risk management.
