At Moonpig, we're entering an exciting new chapter in how we design product features that millions of people love.
We're looking for a Principal Product Designer to help shape the future of our customer experience. This is a rare opportunity to influence the direction of our product beyond individual features, solving the biggest customer challenges across multiple journeys while raising the bar for design craft across the business.
You'll be a senior individual contributor with influence across Product, Design and Engineering, partnering with leaders across the organisation to create experiences that are intuitive, beautifully crafted and commercially impactful. From defining strategic opportunities to sweating the smallest interaction details, you'll balance big-picture thinking with exceptional execution.
If you're passionate about creating products that delight customers, thrive in ambiguity, and enjoy bringing people together around a shared vision, we'd love to hear from you.
- Lead the design of Moonpig's most strategic, complex and high-impact customer experiences across multiple product areas.
- Shape end-to-end customer journeys that connect user needs, business priorities and technical considerations.
- Move confidently between strategic thinking and detailed interaction design, ensuring every experience is intuitive, accessible and beautifully crafted.
- Set creative direction and raise the quality of design across the wider product experience.
- Combine customer insight, research, data and commercial understanding to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Influence product strategy by identifying opportunities that span multiple teams and customer journeys.
- Facilitate alignment between Product, Engineering, Research, Brand, Commercial and senior stakeholders to solve complex problems together.
- Act as a force multiplier across the Product Design team through mentoring, constructive critique and reusable design patterns.
- Champion the evolution and consistent application of Moonpig's design system.
- Help create experiences that strengthen customer engagement, loyalty and long-term business growth.
- Proven experience solving large, ambiguous product challenges with measurable customer and commercial impact.
- Exceptional product design craft across interaction design, visual design, information architecture, prototyping and end-to-end journey design.
- Ability to think strategically while maintaining an exceptional eye for detail.
- Strong systems thinking and problem-framing skills, with confidence tackling complex challenges.
- Experience balancing customer insight, experimentation and business objectives to inform design decisions.
- High level of proficiency with Figma and modern AI-powered design tools.
- Excellent storytelling, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders through evidence rather than authority.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how great design contributes to business performance.
- Passion for collaboration, mentoring and raising the standard of design across a wider team.
- Experience designing scalable, accessible experiences across web and native applications.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving product environments where priorities can shift.

We believe regular in-person working supports collaboration, alignment, and effective decision-making. Candidates will have regular and ongoing time working from the office as part of their role, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
Moonpig Group's Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity:
At Moonpig Group, we’re all about creating a workplace where everyone feels they truly belong. We celebrate what makes each of us unique, whether that’s our background, how we work best, or what matters most to us.
From working parents who need flexible hours to neurodiverse colleagues with specific working styles, we’re here to support our people in ways that work for them. Because when you feel valued and included, you can thrive, and so can we.
We’re proud to have a number of employee-led groups driving this forward, including our LGBTQ+, Gender Balance, Neurodiversity and EMBRACE (Educating Myself for Better Racial Awareness and Cultural Enrichment) communities, plus our Group-wide EDI committee.
