18-24 months experience of working within a challenging behaviour environment with Child & Adolescent services.

12 months’ experience at Team Leader level.

Duties-Clinical
-
Ensure All staff are familiar with and adhering to Care Plan, and making daily reports.
-
Ensuring observations and interactions are clearly reported.
-
Devise a weekly plan of Activities, with participant., to ensure suitable activities are planned and conducted.
-
Supervise staff team in their interactions and ensure professionalism is maintained by setting example.
-
Conduct bi-weekly 1-1 with participant.
Duties-Managerial
-
Ensure Daily Snagging/Search of building is completed and reported.
-
Act as a point of contact for Local Authority, Educational services, MDT members.
-
Liaise with MUVE service Manager and Clinical Lead.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
-
Must be a car driver with Business insurance.

Must report any concerns regarding staffing to Service manager immediately.

Must report any issues with Building and equipment immediately.

About The Role
Deputy Manager would be a support worker but direct experience overseeing packages. In their case the Deputy manager should:

Accountability for the service

Management of staff

Documentation completion

Act as point of contact for Service user

Attend MDT meetings & feedback

Progress of participant (school, outings etc)

Must be a driver with business insurance
Required Criteria
-
Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities Mental Health needs and behaviours that challenge

Experience within supported living or community-based services
-
Ability to work flexibly including nights and weekends
-
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage paid)
-
Strong understanding of safeguarding risk management and person-centred support
-
Ability to lead support and challenge staff practice appropriately
-
Right to work in the UK
Desired Criteria
-
Experience in a Senior Support Worker Team Leader or Deputy Manager role
-
Knowledge of PBS PMVA or equivalent
-
Experience using digital care planning systems such as Birdie
-
NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4 or 5)
