Assistant Calf Rearer
Assistant Calf Rearer required for Sunnyside Farm from the beginning July to December.
Main duties will consist of the following
feeding calves
monitoring the health of the calves
bedding up
cleaning feed equipment
Other general husbandry duties required for rearing calves.
The calving period runs between July to December, we expect 650 calves in total, of which 400 calves during July and August. The calf unit contains clean modern facilities, providing an efficient system to manage the large number of calves.
Sunnyside Farm provides a modern working and staff environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and proactive management. On the job training will be provided by team members, vets and other outside consultants where required.
The role can be full time or job share, ideally some agricultural experience would be beneficial but not necessary. It is more about the person that can show the following attributes and skills.
