Job Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented and organised Payroll Assistant to join our payroll team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous payroll experience to play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. As a Payroll Assistant, you will support the smooth running of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times. This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing
- Ensuring payroll data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations
- Processing starters, leavers, and changes to employee records
- Supporting with payroll queries from employees and managers
- Maintaining payroll records and documentation
- Assisting with reporting and reconciliations
About You:
- Proven experience working in a payroll position
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident working with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
