We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential threats are identified and addressed promptly.
shift patter: Monday to Friday 7am - 7pm
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and ensure the safety of property.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour in emergencies.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
Skills
- Proficiency in first aid techniques, with certification preferred.
- Experience with CCTV systems and surveillance technologies is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
