We are currently after a fully qualified engineer with no training by us required, apart from how to use our system etc. You will be paid per hour with a minimum of 42.5 contracted hours. You will receive all our company benefits including 28 days fully paid holiday leave.
For an engineer qualified in all appliance repairs the pay will be £17 an hour. To advance towards the £20 an hour roll we will need proficiency in repairs to the bellow:
-heat pump driers
-range cookers
-gas appliances
- f-gas refrigerant systems
The White Goods Engineer will be responsible for attending customer homes and rental properties to diagnose, quote, and carry out repairs on a range of domestic appliances. The role involves both customer-facing and technical diagnostic work, supporting our retail store and estate agency partners in providing accurate repair quotations and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer homes to assess and diagnose faults on domestic appliances.
- Provide accurate repair quotations and reports to customers and partners.
- Carry out diagnostics for the Sale Appliances retail store and estate agents managing rental properties.
- Maintain professional communication and service standards with all customers.
- Record all work carried out, parts used, and any follow-up actions required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety, and relevant regulations.
- Represent Sale Appliances positively while operating within assigned areas.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience working as a White Goods Engineer, Appliance Repair Engineer, or Domestic Appliance Technician.
- Strong knowledge of fault diagnosis and repair procedures across major appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, cookers, tumble dryers, etc.).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules effectively.
- Availabily to work 5 days a week including Saturday.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Gas Safe registration.
- F-Gas (Refrigeration) certification.
- Electrical safety testing knowledge (PAT or equivalent).
