CLdN Ports wish to recruit a Freight Supervisor to work at our busy and expanding Ro-Ro Terminal. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and have a flexible, professional and pro-active approach to work. The shifts for this role are as follows: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week (early, mid and late shifts).
Your role
- Be responsible and accountable for day-to-day running of the Freight Department.
- Ensuring all objectives and KPI’s are met.
- Assist the Operations Manager with the management of the Freight team.
- Monitoring and controlling resources, including shift schedules, time keeping and sickness absence records.
- To be a named Deputy PFSO, assisting the Port Facility Security Officer in implementing, maintaining and enforcing the Port Facility Security Plan.
- Assist in being responsible and accountable for the day to day running of the Security Department and ensuring compliance with ISPS regulations.
- Work closely with customers, customs department, operational teams, and senior management whilst helping drive efficiencies within the department.
- Ensure all Company policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.

Your profile

- Strong administration and keyboard skills are essential.
- have a high level of professionalism.
- Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
- Have excellent IT skills with experience of using Microsoft programmes including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility to cover absences of colleagues.
- High attention to detail and accuracy is crucial for this role.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to work on your own initiative.
- Hold a valid PFSO Certification and CTC clearance (training can be provided upon successful appointment).
