Step Into Teaching have partnered with a fantastic secondary school based in Grantham, who are looking for an enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

They are looking for an English graduate who can use their subject knowledge to support students, improve confidence and help learners make sustained academic progress.
This position is perfect for an English graduate looking to gain meaningful classroom experience, work alongside experienced teachers and develop the skills required for a successful teaching career.
Job Specification:
- Hold a degree in English or a related subject (2:2 or above)
- Have strong English subject knowledge (GCSE A*-C or equivalent)
- Be passionate about supporting students with their learning
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be enthusiastic, friendly and approachable
- Be able to motivate and engage young people
- Have a commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities
Key responsibilities within the role:
- Supporting students with reading, writing and communication skills
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Working alongside English teachers during lessons
- Helping students develop confidence in their abilities
- Supporting students inside and outside of the classroom
- Encouraging students to achieve their full potential
