Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Lorry Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all driving regulations. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred, as well as a background in commercial driving.
Monday - Friday (6:30am - 16:30pm)
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
Requirements
- Reference from previous employer.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Good physical fitness for loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
