Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated one to one carer to provide personalized and person centred support for an individual within a care home setting. In this role you will primarily provide dedicated support to a Resident with dementia who has speak dysphasia and is at high risk of falls. Your core focus is to ebsure the residents safety, prevent falls and find creative ways to communicate effectively. When the Resident is settled or sleeping you will assist the wider team with other duties supporting other Residents.
- Communication support - be able to adapt your approach and immense patience to connect with the Resident
- Dementia Care - deliver calming, person centred spport to relieve anxiety and confusion
- Secondary care home duties - Assist Colleagues with other care duties and meals with other Residents at times when the 1 to 1 Resident is safely settled.
- Experience - Proven professional experience in dementia care and managing high risk falls
- Communication skills - Demonstated ability or training in supporting individuals with speech and language difficulties.
- Adaptability - a strong team player mindset, happy to pivot between dedicated 1 to 1 care and helping the wider care home team
Week-end working is included in this position which can be full -time or part-time and rota discussed at interview.
Pay: £12.75 per hour
