The Bayley’s Group has been trusted by farmers since 1969, providing industry-leading dairy engineering, servicing and 24-hour breakdown support across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Shropshire and the surrounding counties.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Engineer to join our expanding team, specialising in the servicing, maintenance and repair of both conventional milking parlours and robotic milking systems.

The Role
Working from our site at Tushingham or Ashbourne, you'll visit dairy farms across the region to:
- Service, maintain and repair conventional milking parlours and robotic milking systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and technical faults
- Carry out planned preventative service and maintenance to maximise system performance and reliability
- Respond to emergency breakdowns as part of a shared on-call rota
- Commission and optimise equipment following servicing or repairs
- Advise customers on equipment performance and preventative maintenance
- Build strong relationships with our farming customers through excellent service
- Complete service reports using our job management system
What We're Looking For:Essential
- Practical engineering experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Farming or agricultural knowledge/background
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude
Desirable (training can be provided)
- Previous dairy engineering experience
- Experience servicing conventional milking parlours
- Experience working with conventional / robotic milking systems
- Agricultural engineering background
- Electrical qualifications or experience
- PLC, automation or control system knowledge
- Refrigeration knowledge
