Location: Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay
Contract Type: Fixed term until 05/11/2024, Variable Hours Contract
Hours of work: Typically, between 10am – 5pm off peak and 9am – 6pm during peak periods.
We are at our busiest during weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.

Job Description
Working to the core values and operational standards of Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay, the role of General Assistant will provide excellent standards of customer service at all times, in order to exceed customer expectations and increase secondary spends across the attractions.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- To provide support across the admissions, retail, and catering departments.
- To be approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging when dealing with customers.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food, as well as hot drinks, using a barista style machine.
- Ensure all food safety and allergen guidelines are followed.
- To operate the retail and admission tills, ensuring transactions are correct and efficient and that queues are well managed.
- Assist in the delivery birthday parties, to ensure they are fun and engaging exceeding customers’ expectations.
