Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper storage procedures
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or staff, ensuring a positive dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards in a commercial setting
- Experience in meal preparation and supporting kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills and responsibilities
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
