Claims Handler – Pet Insurance
We’re looking for a Claims Handler to join our small, specialist team in Aylsham, working on pet insurance claims for an international insurer.
This is a genuinely varied role where you’ll be assessing pet claims, reviewing veterinary records, interpreting policy terms and making confident, fair decisions.
You don’t need experience in both insurance and veterinary work. We’re interested in people who bring a strong background in either:
- Claims handling – if you have solid experience assessing and managing claims and want to move into a specialist area, we’d love to hear from you.
- Veterinary or animal care – if you’re a Veterinary Nurse or have another relevant veterinary background and are looking for a change in direction, your clinical knowledge could be hugely valuable in this role.
Full training is provided, so you don’t need to know pet insurance inside out from day one.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll investigate and assess pet insurance claims, reviewing veterinary histories and treatment records, applying policy terms and making decisions on whether treatment is covered.
Every claim is different, so you’ll need to enjoy getting into the detail, asking questions and putting the pieces together. It’s an analytical role, but one where good judgement and confident decision-making are just as important.
Experience reading and understanding veterinary notes would be a big advantage, but isn’t essential.

- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
