Duties
- Lead and manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and materials handling to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Oversee the integration and utilization of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 platforms to streamline workflows.
- Develop and execute category management strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve service levels across all product categories.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices in logistics workflows.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure compliance with service agreements, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Supervise the use of equipment such as forklifts; ensure proper training and adherence to safety guidelines for all warehouse staff.
- Monitor shipping & receiving activities to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements; resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations management with strong knowledge of logistics processes including picking & packing, materials handling, and shipping & receiving.
- Expertise in category management, process improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma), and supply chain optimization.
- Hands-on experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, including AS400 systems.
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships and managing vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret operational metrics and drive continuous improvements.
- Valid forklift certification; experience operating warehouse equipment safely is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and implement strategic initiatives.
