- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing customer and staff activities, preventing theft or damage.
- Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and conduct.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- Valid first aid certification is desirable; training can be provided if necessary.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to recognise potential threats or hazards.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
- Physical fitness to patrol premises thoroughly and respond swiftly when required.
- A valid security licence or certification as per local regulations is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed.
