Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the physical capability for heavy lifting. The Fitter will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and infrastructure, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. You will be required to fit Plylining & Racking, Lighting, Roof accessories, Vehicle security & towbars
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install mechanical components according to technical specifications and drawings
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out fitting tasks accurately and safely
- Perform heavy lifting as required to position large components or machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fitting or similar roles
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with good physical strength and stamina
- Prior experience working with mechanical systems or equipment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical fitting are advantageous
- Willing to travel nationwide to complete jobs
- Good communication and customer service skills
