Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping with sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential for our production team.
We're looking for a great communicator along with ability and knowledge of supply chain logistics. This job plays a vital role in helping our production team works efficiently as well as ensuring our business as a whole meets our agreed production timescales.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise within a dynamic production and manufacturing organisation committed to operational excellence.
Working hours can be flexible depending on the right candidate and availability, however this is a full time role, Monday to Fridays, being office based and with a start time of 8am ideally.
Responsibilities
- Working on the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, ordering, and tracking goods as well as maintaining supplier relationships
- Utilise our inhouse IT systems to process purchase orders and maintain accurate records.
- Help manage prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to help efficiency of production.
- Coordinate with sales, production and accounts teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships through effective communication and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during all procurement activities.
Experience
- Suited to someone with proven experience in a purchasing/accounts/sales admin role within a manufacturing or logistics environment preferred.
- Ideally having knowledge of supply chain & logistics coordination, and production in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. This role offers an engaging environment for a candidate eager to contribute to the day to day operational effectiveness of our business.
