About the Role:
We are seeking 2 x experienced and motivated Operators to carry out processing activities to safely achieve defined standards, performance, and output levels. This is a hands-on role requiring individuals that thrive in a fast-paced environment and strive to meet all safety, environmental and quality standards expected on a day-to-day basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in scaling up innovative processes and help optimise processes to ensure safe, efficient plant performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Environment, Health & Safety requirements are met.
- Follow and comply with standard operating procedures, work instructions ensuring that each activity is accurately completed.
- Ensure all data is entered into batch records and daily safety and environmental monitoring platforms.
- Carry out fault finding on process or equipment issues, with rectification or proactive suggestions offered.
- Support site multi skilling tasks as required and outlined within procedures.
- Monitor permit to work activities in the work area as defined by the safe systems of work.
- Ensure high levels of housekeeping is maintained.
- Provide coaching to peers as required.
Who we’re looking for
The successful candidate should hold a minimum of Level 3 in Mathematics and English as well as a qualification in Process Operations (such as NVQ or equivalent experience). The type of experience we’re looking for is in batch chemical processing or within manual or semi-automated process operations in Chemical Manufacturing or Waste Industries.
The individual should demonstrate their ability to problem-solve and utilise their fault-finding knowledge and skills on a daily basis, as well as have the understanding of all Safety and Environmental requirements and their implications. The successful candidate should be open to flexibility regarding their working hours, where required, continuously demonstrating behaviours such as integrity, trustworthiness and professionalism.
It would be advantageous if the individual was trained in Manual Handling, Forklift driving and had experience in pilot plant operations and DCS.

- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience and inclusive of Shift Disturbance Allowance (SDA)
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day Mon-Fri between the hours of 7am – 7pm.
