Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team and drive the future of logistics. Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at designated locations
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
- Secure loads properly, especially when handling flatbed cargo, to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and compliance records in line with legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, demonstrating a proactive team approach
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on flatbed loads and delivery operations
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations for HGV vehicles and safety procedures
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV Class 1 license
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds and managing cargo safely
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude towards safety and service quality
- Familiarity with delivery driver best practices and route planning strategies

Pay: £17.50-£18.50 per hour
