Senior Design Engineer

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of new products, as well as the continuous improvement of existing machinery. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering engineered solutions within agreed timescales while ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will be creating engineer designs throughout- concept, design, and installation
- Checking and approving technical drawings using design processes, procedures, and checklists
- Liaising with the design team and Engineer Manager regularly to ensure effective communication
- Producing project reports and other information as required by the management team
- Managing design projects and developing new products
- Supporting the sales team with technical specifications
- Resolve design quality issues by managing the design and providing detailed solutions
- Comply with company policies and procedures
The successful candidate must have:
- Relevant Degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years within a machinery and/or manufacturing role
- Strong 3D CAD modelling capabilities
- Knowledge of hydraulic design and schematics
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Strong IT Skills
