Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking individual to join our team. The successful candidate will help provide excellent customer service, prepare and pack takeaway orders, handle payments, and keep the workplace clean and organised.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble takeaway orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Handle food preparation tasks, including portioning ingredients and assembling meals according to orders made
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the takeaway station, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or pickup area, providing friendly and professional assistance
- Confidently take customer orders in person, by phone, and/or online.
- Take cash payments and operate the till/card machine.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the takeaway station fully equipped for service
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling, storage, and sanitation
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly processes
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of serving protocols and handling cash or electronic transactions
Working Hours
The role will include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, depending on the business needs. Opportunities for additional hours.
