Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable <PERSON> driver with a Class 2 licence to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations. Duties
- Safely operate Class 2 flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods and materials
- Load and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods as required
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections
- Adhere strictly to all road safety laws and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and delivery updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 driving licence (LGV or HGV) recognised in the UK
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Ability to operate large vehicles safely and efficiently under various conditions
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
