Responsibilities and Duties
As a Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering high quality, person-centred care working as part of a rota system with your colleagues.
The role is for supporting individuals who have complex health needs, alongside profound learning disabilities. You will be supporting 1:1 to enable young people to access meaningful activities at our day service whilst facilitating personal care, enteral feeding regimes and monitoring epilepsy.
There are both full and part time positions available.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential requirements
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Caring nature and suitable employment background
· Strong ability in team working
· The ability to work positively, with good humour
· Willingness to learn to improve service delivery
· Take responsibility for actions and plan effectively to deliver results
· The ability to develop knowledge as required by the role
Desirable
· Experience of working in a caring environment with learning and physical disabilities
· NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
