Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing stock, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving processes under the supervision of a warehouse manager. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods.
- Perform picking and packing duties, preparing orders for delivery with attention to detail.
- Conduct materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting of items as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Utilise forklifts and other equipment safely for moving goods within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and improve efficiency.
Skills
- Experience required but not mandatory in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Competence in picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer expectations.
- Forklift certification is preferred; however, training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Must have own reliable transport (Workplace not accessible by bus/train).
