Boston Tea Party | Chichester
Up to £40,000 | 40 hours a week | No evenings
Fancy taking the reins of one of our absolute crackers?
Our Chichester café is a bit of a superstar.
It’s a busy, successful café with a brilliant reputation, a strong team and customers who genuinely love coming through the doors. So, we’re not looking for someone to come in and fix it.
We’re looking for someone who can take something already great and make it even better.
That takes a particular kind of General Manager.
Someone who gets a buzz from a busy café. Who notices the little things. Who knows that great results come from great people, and that the best leaders don’t spend their days hiding in an office looking at spreadsheets.
You’ll be right there in the middle of it, leading from the floor, developing your team, chatting to customers and making sure Chichester continues to be a café everyone is proud of.
What you'll be doing
You’ll have ownership of your café and everything that makes it tick.
That means:
- Building, coaching and developing a brilliant team
- Creating future leaders and making sure your people know how much they matter
- Delivering consistently brilliant food, coffee and service
- Creating those little customer moments that turn a good visit into a great one
- Growing sales and finding new opportunities in your local community
- Managing labour, stock and costs confidently
- Keeping standards high, even when the café is absolutely flying
- Creating a place where people genuinely enjoy coming to work
Chichester is already performing brilliantly, so you’ll inherit strong foundations. Your job is to bring the energy, curiosity and leadership to keep moving it forward.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll probably already have experience leading a successful, high-volume hospitality business. But we're interested in much more than what's on your CV.
We want someone who is warm, commercially switched-on and brilliant with people.
Someone who can celebrate success without becoming complacent. Who can have a difficult conversation when it’s needed. Who spots potential in people and helps them grow. And who understands that a great café can be good for its customers, its team, its community and the planet.
You’ll need to be comfortable with the numbers too. Sales, labour, stock, profit and performance all matter, but you'll understand that the people behind those numbers matter just as much.
Why Boston?
We’ve been doing things a little differently for a long time. We’re proudly independent, values-led and determined to prove that hospitality can be a brilliant career.
And there’s one rather lovely perk of running a Boston Tea Party:
No evenings!
Yep. You can lead a thriving hospitality business, have a proper career and still have your evenings.
You'll also get:
- Salary up to £40,000
- Quarterly bonus
- A 40-hour working week
- No evening shifts
- Food and coffee while you're working
- 50% discount
- Proper training and development
- Genuine opportunities to progress
- A supportive team around you who want you to succeed
So, if you’re an experienced hospitality leader looking at your next move, get in touch.
