Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Concierge/Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves providing excellent customer service whilst maintaining a secure environment through surveillance and loss prevention measures. The ideal candidate will be attentive, reliable, and capable of responding effectively to emergencies. Duties
- Monitor the premises using CCTV systems and perform regular surveillance checks to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct access control procedures, including verifying visitor identities and issuing passes as required.
- Assist with loss prevention by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports.
- Conduct patrols of the property to ensure all areas are secure and free from hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with enquiries and directing them appropriately.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- First aid certification or willingness to undertake training is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Reliable with a professional demeanour and strong organisational skills.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous but not essential.
