Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Night Porter to join our team in providing exceptional guest services within our establishment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests, assisting with their needs, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the premises. A background in hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their luggage and other requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and entrances.
- Nightly duties will include brushing, hoovering and mopping all areas of the hotel. Resetting the hotel for the next day while also serving our late night residents bar.
- Assist with phone inquiries, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing guest needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Ensure the premises are always safe and secure by conducting regular walk rounds of the hotel, ensuring fire exits and corridors are kept clear.
- Support events or functions held within the hotel by setting up spaces as required. Full training will be provided for this. Please note, there will be heavy lifting involved.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse guests.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: £12.91-£13.50 per hour
