This isn't just an apprenticeship. It's the start of a career.
At DeVal Bathrooms, we're looking for someone who wants to build a career, not just find a job.
You'll learn a skilled trade, work alongside experienced professionals and become part of a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys what they do.
You don't need experience. What matters most to us is your attitude.
We believe skills can be taught, but attitude is everything. That's why we recruit for attitude and train for skill.
If you're enthusiastic, reliable, polite, enjoy working with your hands and are keen to learn, we'll teach you everything else.
About DeVal Bathrooms
DeVal Bathrooms is an established, family-run bathroom design and installation company based near Cambridge. We specialise in designing, supplying and installing high-quality, bespoke bathrooms, managing every stage of each project from concept through to completion.
We're proud of the reputation we've built for quality workmanship, attention to detail and exceptional customer service.
We don't just employ apprentices. We invest in them.
Many of our team have been with us for years, including one of our very first apprentices who is now our Senior Bathroom Installer. It's proof that at DeVal there really is no ceiling for someone with the right attitude.
What you'll learn
You'll work alongside experienced tradespeople on real customer projects from day one, gradually building your skills and confidence.
During your apprenticeship you'll gain experience in:
- Safe use of hand and power tools.
- Bathroom strip-outs.
- Plumbing installation.
- Tiling preparation and tiling.
- Waterproofing systems.
- Basic carpentry.
- Installing bathroom furniture.
- Fitting baths, showers, toilets and basins.
- Silicone finishing.
- Looking after tools, equipment and work areas.
- Communicating professionally with customers in their homes.
- Developing an understanding of quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Alongside your practical training, you'll attend college and work towards your Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship qualification.
A full UK driving licence, or currently learning to drive, would be an advantage, although it isn't essential.
You don't need to be able to drive, but you must be able to travel to our premises (CB25 9FX) each morning, where you'll join the team before travelling to customer sites.
