Freelance Venue Stylist – Seasonal

Iris Events is looking for reliable, enthusiastic Freelance Venue Stylists to join our event styling team on a seasonal basis.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys weddings, events, interiors and creative work and is looking for flexible freelance work alongside other commitments.
The role
You’ll be helping to transform wedding and event venues, working as part of a small team to ensure everything looks beautiful and is set up to a high standard.
Typical duties may include:
- Setting up chair covers, sashes and table linen
- Styling tables and centrepieces
- Installing wedding and event décor
- Setting up ceremony and reception spaces
- Moving and positioning décor and equipment
- Helping with venue dressing and final finishing touches
- Assisting with the dismantling and collection of décor after events
- Working efficiently as part of a team while maintaining excellent attention to detail
When you'll work
This is seasonal freelance work, with the majority of our work taking place at weekends during the wedding and events season.
There may also be occasional weekday work, depending on bookings.
Hours can vary depending on the event and may include early mornings, occasional evenings and later finishes. Flexibility is therefore important.
There is no guarantee of a set number of hours or regular weekly work, as work is offered according to our event schedule and business requirements.

- Physically fit enough to lift, carry and move event equipment
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
- Very attentive to detail
- Well presented and professional
- Friendly and comfortable working at wedding venues
- Able to follow instructions and work independently when required
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible and available for weekend work
Previous experience in weddings, events, hospitality, venue styling or similar work is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right person.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required due to the nature of the role.
