Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pot Washer/Kitchen Assistant to join our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation and ensuring high standards of hygiene are upheld. The ideal candidate will be organised, hardworking, and passionate about hospitality. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Responsible for washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to a high standard of cleanliness
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required
- Support the kitchen team with general cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic workspace
- Organise and store kitchenware and ingredients efficiently
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the kitchen environment
- Help with serving food and beverages during busy periods when needed
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables in the dining area when required
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous
- Experience with kitchen organisation and cleanliness standards is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are important qualities for success in this role
