Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently while ensuring the safe handling and delivery of products. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are applied.
- Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking shipments and inventory.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including materials handling and heavy lifting tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems for efficient operations.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively; certification is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting as required by the role.
