Contract Supplies (White Goods) Ltd is a leading supplier and installer of domestic kitchen appliances to the UK housebuilding sector. Operating nationwide, we work with many of the country's largest residential developers and manage thousands of appliance deliveries and installations each year.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Sales Order Processing Administrator to join our busy sales and administration team.
The Role
This is a key administrative role responsible for accurately processing customer orders from receipt through to the point they are ready for scheduling and delivery.
Working closely with our sales, purchasing and operations teams, you will ensure orders are entered correctly, customer requirements are clearly recorded and any discrepancies or queries are identified and resolved promptly.
The role would suit somebody who is organised, accurate and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume order processing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Entering sales orders onto the company's order processing system.
- Checking customer orders against agreed quotations, specifications, product codes and pricing.
- Ensuring delivery addresses, plot details, quantities and required dates are accurately recorded.
- Identifying discrepancies or missing information and liaising with customers and internal teams to resolve queries.
- Processing order amendments, cancellations and changes as required.
- Maintaining accurate customer, site and order information within the system.
- Liaising with the sales team regarding customer requirements and outstanding information.
- Working closely with purchasing, stock and scheduling teams to ensure orders can be fulfilled in line with customer requirements.
- Monitoring outstanding and future-dated orders and highlighting potential issues where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate electronic records and supporting documentation.
- Responding professionally to customer and internal order-related queries.
- Supporting the wider sales administration team during busy periods.
- Ensuring orders are processed within required timescales and internal deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in sales order processing, customer service or administration.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Comfortable processing a high volume of orders and information.
- Confident using computerised order processing systems and Microsoft Office.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve straightforward queries.
- A professional, positive and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider sales and operational team.
- Previous experience within construction, distribution, manufacturing, logistics or a similar order-driven environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
