Argento Contemporary Jewellery Ltd is delighted to announce that we are opening a Nomination Italy Monobrand store.
Argento is one of the UK and Irelands leading fashion jewellers. With over 20 years’ experience, we know what we’re talking about when it comes to jewellery! The first Argento store opened in Belfast in 1997 that has grown to have more than 25 stores throughout the UK and Ireland and a thriving website that offers worldwide delivery.
We are currently seeking a pro-active, highly motivated Sales Advisors to join the team in our Nomination Italy mono-brand store in The Gyle shopping Centre, Gyle Ave, Edinburgh EH12 9JY.
THE SALARY
£8.50 - £12.81 per hour + achievable performance target bonus (based on hours worked)

THE ROLE
- 1*32 Hours -Permanent Contract
- 2*12 Hours -Permanent Contract
- 2*8 Hours -Permanent Contract
Hours of work will be week on a variable shift basis inclusive of weekdays, weekends, early morning, and evenings (Full Flexibility required)
To contribute in all ways to the effective day-to-day running of the store by providing an excellent service to customers; being at all times helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable about the products.
You will be responsible for assisting your colleagues and management team in daily tasks, such as sales, stock control and excellent customer service. Day to day, you will be responsible for achieving set targets, identifying and maximising on opportunities, whilst providing excellent customer service. You may be required to become a keyholder, which full training will be provided for. Duties are highlighted below, please note this is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to change.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional customer services at all times, optimising sales through effective customer service and selling techniques
- Keyholder responsibilities, including opening and closing store
- Deal with customer concerns in a professional, calm, efficient and helpful manner
- Supporting the management team with the day to day running of the store
- Process till transactions effectively, accurately and efficiently; manage queues, as necessary
- Operating the tills, handling financial transactions including refunds and following cashing up procedures
- Assisting with deliveries; unpack deliveries and check dispatch notes in accordance with company procedures
- Merchandising and replenishing stock as required, whilst maintaining high shop floor standards
- Assist with stock takes and launch of sale
- Minimise stock loss by ensuring all company security policies and procedures are implemented correctly and followed
- Create and maintain a healthy and safe working environment for customers and staff ensuring the store is compliant with all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Display a high standard of conduct, performance and behaviour at all times, in line with company guidelines, policy and procedure
- Flexibility in changing working days with notice, to meet operational or other seasonal needs
THE INDIVIDUAL
The ideal candidate will be a positive and dedicated team player who is open to learning product knowledge and put training into practice. Providing customers with an unforgettable in-store experience.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous retail experience in a similar environment
- Passionate about Jewellery and customer service
- Previous experience and ability to work towards targets
- Must be helpful, polite, passionate and service minded
- Experience in the use of Microsoft office packages and EPOS systems
- High energy level and enthusiastic
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Well presented with a positive, pro-active and professional approach
- Ability to initiate contact and communication
- High levels of accuracy and use of grammar
- Must be fully flexible to work a varied shift pattern, including day, evening and weekend shifts, and additional hours during peak trading times
Desirable
- 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Math’s
- Previous retail experience in a luxury retail environment
- Interested in the latest trends and designs
