Stonyhurst, one of the UK’s leading independent schools, is seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Payroll & System Administrator to join our dedicated Human Resources team to support the roll out of a payroll system and development of internal processes. With around 450 staff across campus, this role is central to ensuring the smooth, accurate and compliant operation of our payroll and HR systems.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide a professional, efficient and confidential service, supporting the day‑to‑day administration of payroll and HR data. You will work closely with colleagues across the School, ensuring accuracy, integrity and excellent customer service.
Hours of Work
The role is 30 hours over 4 days per week, however full time hours are available.
Key responsibilities include:
· Input and transfer of payroll information accurately and in a timely manner into the HR, payroll and pension systems
· Ensure timely monthly payroll input
· Support all payroll audits
· Keep the HR system up to date with accurate employee information
· Process starters and leavers on the HR, payroll and benefit systems
· Answer queries in a timely manner
· Carry out regular audits on the systems to ensure data integrity
About You

· Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook
